Run your tills and manage supplier deliveries, prices and stock across branches. General POS supports packaged goods and compatible scale labels for produce, meat and deli items. Owners can review sales and staff access from the Android app.
Scan ordinary product barcodes or EAN-13 scale labels containing weight or price. Configure the label layout and link each scale item code to its product. Hold and resume carts on the desktop.
Send a payment prompt to the customer and receive confirmation at the till. Cashiers can also record cash or a card payment with its terminal reference.
Configured desktop tills save cash sales locally during an internet outage and send them for reconciliation when the connection returns.
Set product offers that apply at checkout. Cashiers open and close shifts, count their drawer and record any difference for review.
Create purchase orders and receive full or partial deliveries against them. Record supplier invoice references, batches and expiry dates. Staff can receive orders from the Android app.
Count stock and track transfers from dispatch to receipt. Set prices by branch, apply bulk price changes and print barcode labels for shelves.
Submit invoices through the configured eTIMS integration. Products need their eTIMS item codes, and the submission service must be set up for your business.
Enrol customers in loyalty, set credit terms and record collections against credit invoices. Managers control which staff can change terms or adjust points.
Compare sales across branches and review best sellers, reported profit and cashier activity. Export reports for your accountant. Import product and price files, or use scoped API tokens to connect sales and stock records to another business system.
One payment to start, which includes the first year. After that you pay a small yearly fee.

At an agreed price, supermarkets and other large shops can host General POS on their own servers while Velinex Labs provides software development and update delivery. We agree the setup, ongoing service and infrastructure responsibilities with you before installation.

Set the barcode prefix, item-code length and weight or price field to match your scale, then register each scale item code on its product. Share a sample label with us so we can check the layout before setup.
Yes. Create and send the purchase order on the desktop, then open Receive stock in the Android app. Staff with receiving permission can record quantities delivered, a supplier invoice reference, batches and expiry dates. Partial deliveries leave the remaining quantity on the order.
Yes. Set branch prices and make bulk price changes from head office. Product promotions apply automatically at checkout.
Yes. Export sales, stock movements, goods receipts and products as CSV or JSON through the integration API. You can also import product and price CSV files. API tokens have separate import and export permissions; a connection to your accounting or ERP software may need integration work.
Yes. The Barcode Labels screen prints price labels with barcodes on A4 sheets, in a few layouts, for products that do not come with their own barcode.
Starter covers 2 tills, Base covers 6 tills across 3 branches, and Growth covers 20 tills across 10 branches. Larger chains can talk to us about Enterprise.
General POS includes an eTIMS integration for submitting invoices. The submission service needs to be configured for your business, and each product needs its eTIMS item code. We can discuss the setup with you before you start.
The tills keep selling for cash. Sales are saved on each till and sent to the system when the connection comes back.
Yes. You choose how much a customer spends to earn one point and what a point is worth. Enrolled customers earn on what they pay and can use their points at any till.
Yes. Give a customer a credit limit and the cashier can charge a sale to their account. The system stops sales that would take them over their limit.
